Your employer will help in this regard... by encouraging you to utilize the most appropriate (in terms of reimbursement) codes available for the service that was provided. But beyond that, you're in a career that entails putting numbers to paper. Take heart in knowing that you'll have plenty of creative energy available to you when you're NOT coding!

What did they start using after using a coding system named Unicode?

Delepoped through the cooperation of several of the leading manufactures of hardware and software. This code uses a unique pattern of 16 bits to represent each symbol. Unicode consists of 65,536 different bit patterns--enough to allow the most common Chinese and Japanese symbols to be represented. What did they start using after using a coding system named Unicode?

Using patterns of 32 bits to represent symbols, this code has the potential of representing more than 17 million symbols.

Hey, hang on a sec, isn't Windows XP a 32 Bit OS, thought so.

How do I choose between medical transcription, medical coding, medical billing?

I'm interested in some type of online training but can't decide which

type of career is best for me. Any ideas how to narrow it down between medical transcription, medical coding, medical billing? How do I choose between medical transcription, medical coding, medical billing?
I am taking online courses for actually 3 different classes right now. I am doing Medical transcription, medical claims and billing, medical and dental assistant. So I know what you are talking about. lol but I am choosing to take all 3 different courses so I can be qualified in alot of things so that way I can get a job easy. The nursing field is in good demand even thought the economy is bad cause everyone always needs hospitals and nursing homes, dr appointments. So any 3 would be a good choice. If you want to work from home I would pick the medical transcription. If you want to work in the office I'd pick medical billing. Good luck to you!How do I choose between medical transcription, medical coding, medical billing?
I would suggest you do all three as well for a different reason: If you find a small office to work for, you will be the transcriptionist, but because the office is small, you will ALSO be the biller/coder. Many hospitals may choose this as well, since the positions are so closely related. Report Abuse

It depends on what your focus is. All three of these jobs may tie into each other, but each are taken from a different perspective.

Transcription- must have great typing skills, being able to decipher different physicians, knowledge of medical term, etc.

Billing - being familiar with the different insurance payors and their rules and regs for paying claims, knowing how to communicate with insurance companies eapecially Medicare/Medicaid.

Coding- knowledge of biology, medical term, medications, pathophysiology (disease process), ICD-9, CPT, DRGs, insurance companies, coding guidelines, etc.

Personally, I prefer coding. As a coder you also find yourself being a biller at times also. When claims are rejected, one of the coders jobs is to review the chart to see if they applied the correct code to claims. Also, it never gets boring being a coder, whether you are doing oupatient or inpatient coding. Some of the issues that these patients have are not only educational and interesting, but also is hilarious at times. Also, if you get a job at the right hospital, the pay is great.

How do I view and change HTML coding for a website?

I need to change something in a website, normally I use Contribute software, but this won't allow me to change what I need to change. How do I get to view and change the actual HTML code? How do I view and change HTML coding for a website?
You need to know where on the server the site HTML is stored. Then it's easy enough to change just using notepad or whatever.

So, it will depend on what web server software is being used.

For IIS, you're go to the web services manager, and find your site, then look at it's properties to see where it was stored. I'm not on a Windows server right now so can't recall the default location. Thought it was on a .private area at the root node??How do I view and change HTML coding for a website?
Download by connecting to the web-servers ftp, or use your web host's user control panel to download files. You can edit any html, css, js, php file with notepad\wordpad, or you can use any text editor you want.
i am not sure, just as bad as anyone else...
You have access to the index.html file?

What coding language is used for programming video games?

I am starting to learn how to program. Ya know learning the concept of input%26gt; process %26gt;output ect.. I want to create games but I don't know the language used. I have been toled that it's C++ but then someone else told me C# so yea any help is appreciatedWhat coding language is used for programming video games?
To answer your question any programming language can be used to make games. Some with the help of DirectX or OpenGL. C++ as well as JAVA are amongst those that are commonly used to design games. Visual Basic can also be used to design games. C# since it's introduction from 2005 upto now can be used to design games as well. How ever I must recommend if you want to get into game programming, first thing is that you have to pick a language. you can use http://www.codepedia.com for a brief introduction to some of the languages. If C++, Java or C# doesn't seem as too much of a challange to you, then you must committ yourself into studying them. or any other language you choose to study for that matter. Try not to burden yourself down wigh too much programming languages until you understand which ever language you start off with. A person can design a excellent game in Visual Basic if he studies the language and apply what he learns skillfully and effectivelyWhat coding language is used for programming video games?
You can make games in many programming languages. My friend makes games in Java, I know that if you want to mod for certain game engines, C++ knowledge is required, but you can make games in most programming languages.

Basic and common languages are Java, Visual Basic, C# and C++ (idk if Flash counts, but you can definitely makes games with that)

The above people have points, you need to learn to make basic programs first.
Well, a developer can use any language they want for it, based on their own needs.

Most games nowadays are programmed in mostly C++, with little smatterings of other languages as well, such as C#. It's rare to see a game coded in ALL C++, but usually they're mostly C++, so if you want start with that.

Note: You can't just jump into programming games. You need to start small, with practical programs.
They are right about it being C++ and C#. There are others that are sometimes used but those are the most common. I wouldn't recommend going right into learning those languages if you've never had any experience programing. If you're really serious about programing you should start with something smaller then work your way up to those languages
If you want to learn to program - seriously - you study programming before you study any languages. Start with http://www-old.oberon.ethz.ch/WirthPubl/鈥?/a>
The one game I worked on at Microsoft was written in C++.
